Linda Dewing, a long-time Business Associates and current board member of the Leadership Alliance, enjoys running marathons. She has found that Simplexity Health products give her that extra edge to help her continue to improve her time. Read her suggestions for using Simplexity products not only for athletic events, but for all the other types of life-marathons we might face!

As those who have been enjoying Simplexity Health products for ten years or more say, it just keeps getting better! I have trained similarly, but a little harder, for each of my marathons, and I have become a bit wiser each time. I've learned when is too much and when might be not enough. I have watched myself get nervous, and watched myself learn to become calmer. And I have consistently eaten the algae products. With each marathon, my results have improved and I have become stronger. (At my advanced age, it is not common to find one's time improving fairly dramatically.) As you know, marathons are really about endurance, especially for those of us who are not elite runners. It is tough to keep running for 4 hours and more, as opposed to running for two and a half or three (which, of course, has its own challenges!).

Let me tell you what appears to have contributed to improving my "edge." When anticipating my longer runs of 13, 15, 18, 20, and 22 miles (about one a month), I took my regular morning algae of several Alpha, Omega, Alpha Gold, Omega Gold, Super Sprouts, Q10, and enzymes. Just before I started running, I took the same all over again, and I thought it would shock me! Instead, I felt strong and found that, shortly after I completed the run, I was in fine fettle instead of being totally out of it for the afternoon. At noon, I took my regular amount (the same as at breakfast, but without the Sprouts and Q10.) In each case, I recuperated faster and more readily than in the past. So, for the next marathon I did the same thing. And every five miles I popped some Alpha, Super Sprouts, enzymes, and an Omega.

I was indeed tired at the end of the race, and more than delighted to sit down and not move a muscle for maybe an hour or so. But after that, I was able to get up, move around, and feel generally human! I felt happy and proud and energized, not at all like a wet dishrag. It was quite wonderful! And unlike several other runners I saw the next day, I could walk comfortably, go up and down slopes and stairs, and feel relatively flexible. (After my first marathon, going downstairs had been a desperate experience for a number of days.)

Was it just because of the Simplexity Health products? I don't know for sure, but they are certainly likely to have had a significant impact, since I hadn't changed other eating or drinking habits. Not all of you are marathon runners. But you may be up against other "marathons" in your life, with work deadlines, major presentations, ongoing family stresses, or friends in constant need and under duress. Consider how you may be able to help yourself through these times with a bit more support from these wonderful whole foods.
