Jackie Johnson, 2008 Olympian, Heptathlete

Going to the Olympics is a "dream come true" for our newest member of Team Simplexity Health, Jackie Johnson!

During the 2008 Olympic Trials that were held in Eugene, Oregon, Simplexity Health was fortunate enough to meet Olympic contender Jacquelyn (Jackie) Johnson. Jackie will make her Olympic debut this year in Beijing where she will compete in the heptathlon. The women's heptathlon consists of the following events: 100-meter hurdles
High jump, Shot put, 200-meters, Long jump, Javelin throw, 800-meters. Her strongest being the hurdles and high jump.

Jackie is being named the most accomplished heptathlete in collegiate history and is coached by our very own Olympic decathlon gold medalist, Dan O'Brien. It's this connection with Dan that first lead her to Simplexity Health products in the fall of last year and her love of Alpha and Omega Sun along with Super Q10 that have kept her coming back for more.

"Simplexity Health products are great. I take them after I workout and come back ready to go the next day."

Already a six-time NCAA champion with three indoor pentathlon crowns and three outdoor heptathlon crowns, Johnson became the first four-time collegiate champion in the heptathlon and only the fourth woman in NCAA history to capture the same event four times in a career.

Dan O'Brien, who serves as a volunteer assistant coach for the Sun Devils, has been coaching Jackie for her Olympic debut. Dan's support of Simplexity Health, along with her own personal experiences with our products, has encouraged Jackie's desire to be directly involved with Simplexity Health. She knows that she is an Olympian regardless of the medal she receives in Beijing. We will keep you updated on Jackie's progress as the events progress, so please join us in welcoming Jackie into our Simplexity Health family.

Jackie Johnson is originally from San Jose, California but her hometown is in Arizona where she attended Arizona State University to study kinesiology. She hopes to later pursue an occupation in nursing but at this time is busy preparing for her career as an athlete and participate in the 2009 World Games. As a high school track star Jackie excelled but still had time to be involved in basketball and volleyball. When she is not training, Jackie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her mother, brother and sister are all attending the Olympics in Beijing to cheer her on.
