Tutti-Fruiti Smoothie

½ cup pure orange juice (not from concentrate)
1 small or ½ large banana
¼ cup frozen blueberries
1 heaping Tbsp Go Green or Super Sun Smoothie
Blend well, adding a few ice cubes if needed to chill.

Cran-Ban Smoothie
½ cup cranberry cocktail

1 small or ½ large banana
1 heaping Tbsp Go Green or Super Sun Smoothie
6-8 ice cubes
Blend well.

Blueberry Super Smoothie (the color is dark red!)

1 cup blueberries
1 medium banana
2 cups almond milk
2 Tbsp Go Green

Blend on high for 3 minutes, serve chilled.


Cranberry Red Smoothie

1 cup cranberry-raspberry 100% juice

3 Tbsp Super Sun Smoothie mix

2-3 large frozen strawberries (no sugar)

½ soft banana

Blend well; serve with green garnish (mint leaves, even a pine sprig).


Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

1⅔ cups canned or cooked pumpkin
1½ cups vanilla rice milk
3 Tbsp maple syrup (or to taste), or try stevia
½ tsp pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon & nutmeg)
2 heaping Tbsp Super Sun Smoothie powder
2 Tbsp soaked raisins (optional)
4 ice cubes (optional)

Blend well on high 3 minutes; serves 2.


Peanutie Smoothie

½ cup rice or almond milk
1 small or ½ large banana

1 Tbsp peanut butter
1 heaping Tbsp Go Green or Super Sun Smoothie
6-8 ice cubes

Blend well.



Almond Milk Smoothie

Soak ½ cup unskinned almonds overnight.

Drain and rinse.

Blend thoroughly with 1½ cups pure water.

Strain and chill liquid.

Blend this "almond milk" with:

1 Tbsp Go Green powder

1 frozen banana

1 date

Blend until frothy and serve.


Banana Carob Smoothie

2 cups carob rice milk

1 ripe banana
1 Tbsp Go Green

Blend on high with crushed ice for 3 minutes.
Serves 3- 4.


Coco/Carob Smoothie

1 ripe banana
1½ cups carob rice milk

2 tsp organic cocoa
2 heaping Tbsp Super Sun Smoothie powder
4 ice cubes (optional)

Blend well on high 3 minutes; serves 2.


Super Piña Colada

½ cup pineapple coconut juice
2 cups rice milk
1 ripe banana
2 heaping Tbsp Super Sun Smoothie powder
Crushed ice (optional)

Blend on high 3 minutes.
Serves 2.


Banana-Orange Super Food Shake

1 sliced frozen banana
1 cup orange juice
1 cup milk (can substitute rice or soy milk)
1 cup orange sherbet
1 heaping Tbsp Super Sun Smoothie powder

Blend on high for 3 minutes; serves 2.


Strawberry Super Food Shake

1 cup fresh strawberries
1 cup vanilla rice milk (can substitute orange juice)
2 heaping Tbsp Super Sun Smoothie powder
2 cups crushed ice

Blend on high 3 minutes; serves 2.


Fruitful Shake

2 cups orange juice
2 cups soaked almonds
2 bananas
2 cups fresh or canned pineapple
1 heaping Tbsp Go Green

Blend, chill, and serve. This will keep awhile in the refrigerator.


Summer Soother

1 can frozen lemonade

1 can water
1 heaping Tbsp Super Sun Smoothie

Mix and serve over ice.


Zippy Cocktail

Spicy or original V8® 100% Vegetable Juice, 46 oz
1 tsp dill
1 Tbsp grated onion (or 2 tsp dry)
¼ tsp Mrs. Dash
1-3 capsules algae (depending upon your preference)

Chill and serve.


Festive Cooler

2 cups filtered water
1 tsp APA Blend
1 tsp Go Green
¼ to ½ cup cranberry lemonade (organic sweetened with agave and grape)
Shake or stir and enjoy.

This drink looks great in wine or martini glasses for a party, or in a water bottle when you are on the go at the gym, pool, or just out and about.


Blue-Green Planets

2 c. puffed rice cereal

½ c. toasted wheat germ

1 c. almond butter

½ c. Tamari-roasted almonds

½ c. raisins

½ c. liquid sweetener (fruit concentrate, honey, or rice malt)

½ tsp vanilla

¼ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp nutmeg

3 tsp Go Green OR 2 Tbsp Super Sun Smoothie

½ - 2 tsp Simply SBGA

1 – 2 tsp stevia powder (optional to adjust sweetness)

½ c. unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)

Blend all ingredients in a food processor. Adjust sweetness level to taste. Roll mixture into Ping-Pong ball-sized "planets" that make a great after-school snack. Cover and refrigerate several hours until firm.


Sunflower Seed "Cheese"

Soak 2 cups hulled sunflower seeds overnight

Drain and rinse

Blend coarsely (or until of spreadable consistency) in a food processor with:

1 clove garlic

½ small onion

1 Tbsp dill or other herb

½ tsp curry powder

½ tsp salt or salt substitute

½ chopped organic red bell pepper (optional)

1 stalk chopped organic celery

1 small grated organic carrot

3 Tbsp Go Green powder

Use as a spread or to make Nori Crackers (see the following recipe).


Nori Crackers

To Sunflower Seed "Cheese" add 1 cup hulled organic sesame seeds.

Pulse in processor until combined.

Cut one package Nori (sea vegetable) sheets into quarters.

Lay the squares on a smooth dehydrator tray.

Put a heaping teaspoon of the blended mixture onto each square.

Cover with a sheet of waxed paper and press flat with the bottom of a bowl or glass.

Sprinkle the top of each "cracker" with paprika or black sesame seeds.

Dry at 100°F until crunchy.


Banana Dehydrator Cookies

In a food processor, blend:

2 bananas

½ tsp vanilla

½ cup pecan pieces or pecan meal

1½ cup dried shredded unsweetened coconut

½ cup raw carob powder

½ cup soaked raisins or currants

2 Tbsp Go Green powder

Drop mixture by spoonful onto dehydrator trays.

Dry at less than 100°F until crunchy.


Porcupine Protein Balls

1 cup Super Sun Smoothie

1 cup almond butter

1 cup granola (unsweetened)

1 cup raisins

1 cup coconut flakes

Mix all ingredients except coconut flakes.

Form into patties or balls and roll in coconut.

Keep refrigerated.



Kid Tested

Mix 2 cups crispy brown rice cereal into about ¾ - 1 cup peanut butter

Add honey or maple syrup to taste.

Mix in 3-6 Tbsp Super Sun Smoothie mix, and optional cinnamon, carob chips, coconut—use your imagination!

Form into small balls with wet hands, let stand til set, or roll in coconut, melted chocolate chips, melted carob chips, or miniature chocolate or peanut butter chips.

Refrigerate.



Mark's Super Food Party Dip

1 lb tofu (soft or medium)
1 bunch chopped parsley
3 chopped scallions
3 Tbsp olive oil
3 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp garlic powder (or fresh pressed)
1 Tbsp vinegar
½ tsp salt or to taste ( sea salt preferred)
2 - 4 grams Omega Sun® Algae

Blend all ingredients well (food processor ideal)

Refrigerate 'till chilled.
Serves about 10.


No-Bake Super Peanut Butter Cookies

½ cup Super Sun Smoothie
½ cup peanut butter
¾ cup unsweetened granola
½ cup maple syrup, or 3/4 tsp. stevia
¼ cup raisins
¾ cup coconut flakes

Mix all but ¼ cup coconut and for into bite size balls.
Roll in ¼ cup coconut and refrigerated.


SBG Broccomole Dip

1½ cups well cooked broccoli stems (remove any tough outside skin)
1½ Tbsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
¼ tsp cumin
¼ tsp garlic powder
2 - 4 grams Simply SBGA
½ tomato, diced
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 green chili pepper, chopped

Place lemon juice, cumin, and garlic in blender. Puree. Add green tops of the onions, green chili pepper, and broccoli. Puree till smooth. Transfer to bowl and add white parts of onion, then tomato and Algae. (Optional jalapeño pepper or cayenne pepper to taste) Chill before serving.

Makes 2 cups.


SBG Zuccinimole Dip

(Use SBG Broccomole Dip recipe, except substitute steamed, blenderized zucchini and use just one green onion.)

⅔ cup silken tofu
⅔ cup "veggie" cream cheese substitute
⅔ light mayo
2 small onions (chopped)
1 package frozen spinach (thawed)
1 package Knorr® Vegetable soup mix
2-4 capsules algae

Mix all in food processor. Chill well. Serve with corn chips or baked crackers.


Algae-tomato aspic

Mix lemon JELL-O® with 1 cup boiling water.
Add:

1 small can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp vinegar (this can be adjusted to suit your taste)
2 cups chopped green onion
2 cups chopped celery
2 cups sliced stuffed green olives

When cool enough, add 1-3 capsules algae.

Chill and serve on crisp lettuce.


Thrill of Dill

Mix 2 Tbsp seasoning with 8 oz silken tofu.
Add light mayo until of desired consistency.
Add two capsules algae or ½ tsp Simply SBGA.

Serve with raw veggies.


Eat Your Vegetables!

Add 4 Tbsp of spice mix to 8 oz "veggie" cream cheese substitute.
2 cups low-fat mayo
2 tsp grated onion
2 capsules algae

Serve as a spread on crackers or a bagel.


Mikala's Sweet-Heart Treats

In one bowl, mix together: 

1 cup sesame butter
½ cup raw honey
2 tsp vanilla

In another bowl, mix together:

½ cup grated coconut

1 cup raisins
4 Tbsp raw carob powder
2 tsp Alpha Sun® (12 capsules)

2 tsp. Omega Sun® (12 capsules)

Combine the two mixes together thoroughly. Refrigerate if too sticky to form into balls. Form into balls and roll them in grated coconut or in raw carob powder. Refrigerate or freeze. This recipe makes about 100 delicious Sweet-Heart Treats.


BG Butter Balls

Recipe #1

1 cup Super Sun Smoothie
1 cup nut butter
1½ cups granola
1 cup maple syrup
1½ cups unsweetened coconut flakes
¼ cup dried fruit
½ cup chopped nuts, or chocolate or carob chips

Mix ingredients together (keeping aside ½ cup coconut). Shape batter into balls and roll in the remaining coconut. Chill and serve. The longer you chill, the more flavorful. These cookies can be stored in a container for a short period of time. Keep refrigerated.


Recipe #2

1½ cups granola
½ cup maple syrup or ¾ tsp stevia
½ cup nut butter
¼ cup raisins
½ cup Super Sun Smoothie

Mix ingredients together, starting with 1 cup granola and adding more only if needed to form balls. Chill and serve.


Spinach ‘n’ Alpha Dip

Mix sour cream or yogurt with lightly steamed chopped spinach and Alpha Sun® and Alpha Gold, all to taste.


SBGuacamole Dip

Mix together: 1 large ripe avocado, mashed

1 clove garlic, diced
1 small onion, diced
1 Tbsp mayonnaise or yogurt
½ - 1 tsp Alpha Gold.

Squeeze of lemon.


Additional Party Ideas

Add Alpha Sun® and/or Go Green to any fruit punch.

Use chopped BG Bar as pastry or cake decorations.


Strawberry Sorbet

1 quart full-flavored strawberries

½ cup frozen apple juice concentrate
2 Tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp Go Green
Puree all ingredients in a food processor, pour into a bowl, cover, and freeze for 3 or 4 hours.
Remove the bowl from the freezer about every 45 minutes and puree again for a smooth consistency. Let the sorbet sit out at room temperature for 15 minutes or so before serving.
